Twisted Tuesdays is having a Free For All!

Hi all!

I'm so excited to let you know that Twisted Tuesdays posted a new challenge today and it's a Free For All! Anything Goes so get over there and show us what you got! :)

I made this card for yesterday's CAS Challenge over at SCS and am just getting it on my blog today:

I punched three 1" squares on a scrap piece of card stock and used that for my mask. I sponged bashful blue and old olive inks on then stamped an a*muse stamp (beautiful botanicals 2) on top. The sentiment is from CTMH Card Chatter ~ Sympathy.

It's one layer and it's totally CAS :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Until next time...

Well, Hello Hexagons

Hi everybody!

This is a card I made for the SCS CAS challenge this week. It is a sketch challenge (I love those). I have the SU hexagon (honey comb) embossing folder....I have had it since it came out.....and just never used it. Well, I wish I would have done it sooner. I love that thing :)

Here's how I used it:

The panel  is popped up on dots. The sentiment is punched out with the oval punch. I made some little berries with my melon mambo marker. I also stamped off on my grid paper before stamping the fainter leaf images to give dimension.
I have this stamp set, Leaf Lines. It is retired. I just can't let it go. I love the sketch like leaves in the set. If you know me, you know I love Nature stamps anyway. Yes, I think this set will stay in my collection for years and years to come. :)

I am also entering my card in the following challenge:
Crafty Creations #218 No patterned paper

Thanks for stopping by today!

Until next time...

Dueling....in the Garden?

Hi all!

It's tax day.....blah

So, we dueling darling ladies decided to make it DUELING DAY! :) That's a good thing.
Each month on the 15th I get to show off what a Darling sent me in the mail!
This month for the Dazzlers team our hostess was Darlene. Her kit she sent was wonderfully Springy!

Here's what I made with it
I love the soft colors of the kit contents!
When I first saw the delicate trim she sent I had no clue how I was gonna get it to stay on my card without you being able to see the adhesive behind it. So, I placed it on the card where I wanted it and used old trustworthy Scotch tape on the inside flap of the card to keep it in place. :)
My sentiment is from a celebration stamp set from CTMH.
I colored my image with Spectrum/Noir markers.

Darlene's kit included:
Image:  SU's Sweet Seasons (2004) stamped with Tuxedo Black on Conqueror Diamond White CS
Papers:  SEI's Field Notes pack
Doilies from my local supermarket!
Bakers twine from Can You Digi It?
Glitter brads from SU
Dragonfly Brad from Creative Impressions
Fabric Alpha Tabs from Letter Press
Adhesive gems from K & Company
assorted banner etc. labels from Martha Stewart
Green leaf tags: unknown
non adhesive little gemstones by Paper Studio
Mini clothespins from A Muse Studios
lacey ribbon from local sewing store

I didn't get to use half of the kit she sent so many wonderful things! Thanks Darlene for being a wonderful Dazzler hostess this month!
I'm heading to the other Dueling Darlings blogs (located in my left sidebar) to see what they created with their "gardening" kits this month. :)
Until next time...

Splitcoast CAS Challenge Creation

Hi all!

I'm sorry I've not been too active on my blog as of late. You see, I live in the country and don't have unlimited internet....if I did I would have to be a rich, rich woman cause getting unlimited internet where I live is VERY expensive! ugh....
Oh well, at least it is limited high speed and not dial up right?! :)

Here's a quick post for a card I made for the CAS challenge today over on SCS.

It's a color challenge to use pretty in pink, tempting turquoise and certainly celery (light pink, turquoise and light green).
I love how soft this card came out. This color combo just screams Spring! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Until next time...
Blessings...

Barb! Barb! She's Our Gal!

Hi everybody!
Happy Friday :)

Today is the 5th.....that means the Crafty Gals are "CASE"ing someone in our group. This month our Gal is Barb! I love Barb's clean style. She often showcases a larger sentiment on her creations like THIS so I wanted to use those cards as my inspiration.

Here's what I made:

Barb also likes to use patterned papers of which I rarely do so I used polka dots just for her! :)

Be sure and stop by the other Crafty Gals blogs to see what they created in honor of Barb. They are listed in my right side bar.

Supplies:
Stamp: Stampabilities
Paper: natural white, very vanilla and basic black (SU) and Jolly Holiday dsp (SU)
Embellishments: cherry cobbler quilted ribbon and linen thread (SU), and MFT steel gray collection button

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Until next time...
Blessings...
