It's a cold, icy Saturday here in North Alabama! I've been in all day getting lots of housework done, babysitting my 1 year old niece, keeping my own kiddos occupied, and I even got a couple of cards done. :)
Here's one I did for Tuesday Morning Sketches this week:

I paper pieced the little cupcake. I love the new Well Scripted stamp set from SU! The sentiments are so graceful looking.

Thanks for taking a look...let me know what you think!
Until next time...

Pink & Brown...One of my favorites!

Hello all! Is your week going well? I hope so.

Here's another card I made for the swap I'm hosting over on SCS. (more details about that on my post from yesterday)
Pink and Brown is one of my favorite color combos! So, I loved making this card!

I used some dp that is retired from SU! (Sweet Always I think). Then I stamped the small flower from Vintage Vogue and cut it out. I used vintage brads and some pretty in pink ribbon. The eyelet border punch is used on a piece of pink pirouette. I love that shade of pink. I hate that it's retired. :(

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Until next time...

Pixie Flower

Happy day crafty ladies!
I hope you're all having a perfectly creative day :)
I'd like to share a card with you I made for a swap over on SCS. I'm the hostess. It's called Everybody's Colors. We have to make a card for another swapper with the colors they request.
This one is for a lady who asked for a pink and green card.
This card also goes along with the theme at Crazy 4 Challenges this week "Pretty in Pink".

I used Certainly Celery, Melon Mambo and Pixie Pink c/s. I used my new Vintage Vogue stamp set from SU!. Love that set!! I stamped the sentiment in WW craft ink. I stamped the vine stamp in Certainly Celery ink on CC c/s. I stamped the larger flower on ww c/s in Pixie Pink ink then cut it out and used a piece of Melon Mambo c/s in the center with a vintage brad.
I love my new eyelet border punch!!!! I can't get enough of the punch. It is so pretty!
Thank you so much for taking a few minutes to visit me today :)

Until next time...

CCC #17 ~ Preschool & SHE CUT HER HAIR!!

Another weekend has come to an end. :( Time to rest up for the start of a new week. :(
I just want to stay at my craft table!!!!
Oh well, enough whining. Here's my scrapbook page for our Crafty Critters Challenge #17. Moira hosted this week. She is a fabulous scrapper and so it was no surprise that she would challenge us to make a scrapbook page. :) Thanks Moira I don't get to do this as much as I would like. The challenge was to:
1. Use this sketch SBSC97.
2. Use stash...NO BUYING allowed!
3. Use at least two patterned papers.

Okay so these photos are from our DD's first day of preschool. Look at that Kool-aid mustache! Better yet look at her hair! A few days before these pics were taken, she cut her hair! It looked just like Billy Ray Cyres (sp?) I could not believe it. She was 4. I was heartbroken. But, I can now look back on these pics and laugh. Even looking like a '90s Country singer....SHE IS SOOOO CUTE :)
The stars are chipboard except for one star button. I used those great glitter thickers again. They're great for titles.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week!

Until next time...

Silly Faces

Helloooooooooooooo, ladies!!!
I hope you're having a wonderful weekend. I have a double page spread to share with you today. I'm working on my 2008 scrapbook album and when I pulled out these photos they made me giggle. hee! hee!

Our DD is so funny. She kept asking me to take pictures of her and then she wanted to see each one. Goofy Girl!
I used Thickers for my title. This is a first for me. I love them!! Can't wait to get a few dollars to head back to HobLob to get some more :)
The accents, flower, tag, and two by middle photo are from a page candy swap I was in at SCS last year. They went so well with the colors I used.

This project also goes along with the challenge at Stamp Something this week: Funny Somethings
Thanks to their design team for making me smile with their samples!

Thanks for visiting today :)

Until next time...

Puppy Luv

Middle of the week already! Yay!
I made a scrapbook page Monday. By the time I finished it though, the kiddos had already messed up my clean kitchen and dining room table. ugh! I find myself saying get out of the kitchen 40 times while I'm at my craft table. I guess they think I can't see them! hee! hee!
Oh well...on to the page:

This is a 12x12 page. The base is Chocolate chip. I hand cut the large heart. I distressed it a bit and added WW craft ink on the edges. I did a random title with letters in my stash. The top heart is made using buttons. The bottom heart is acrylic.
This is a dog our kiddos got in 2008. His name was Carson. He was a Dachshund mix....very cute!
Thanks so much for stopping by! :)
Until next time...

Crafty Critter BGC #16

Here's my card for our Crafty Critters challenge #16. Love is in the Air! hosted this go around by Tracey :) *hiya girl waving*!! We were to use the colors, red, pink & white with black as an accent. Today's the last day to upload...Wow I'm cuttin' it close!

The background dp is SU! Sweet Always (retired). I distressed it a bit. I used one of the stamps from Itty Bitty backgrounds set to make the black polka dots on the white c/s. I mounted the hearts from the Simply Said set on real red c/s then sewed a few stitches on the side. I used the eyelet border punch on the bottom with a piece of red rick rack ribbon on top. I stamped a sentiment from Simply Said set then punched it out with the lg. oval. I finished it off by inking with WW craft ink and added pearls at the top.

I got a couple other challenges in on this card too:

Little Red Wagon ~ Polka Dots
Crazy4Challenges 20 ~ Sketch
Paper Sundaes ~ Sketch (yeah they were pretty much the same sketch...great huh?! :))

Until next time...

Little Daisy

Hello everyone! I hope you're having a great weekend so far. I have a card to share today that I really had fun making. I'm practicing my coloring. Coloring hair still gives me trouble. I don't have copics so I have to rely on Bic Mark It Markers, Inks, chalks and watercolor pencils with blender pens. I know *gasp* I don't own copics! I never have the extra money to get any. When I do get a little extra cash to spend, I find a great new stamp to buy or some wonderful papers I absolutely need! hee! hee! So, maybe I need to set aside a little each month to go toward some copics.
Anywho, Daisy's hair gave me fits and I'm still not satisfied with it. I wanted it to have a look of sunshine beaming on it....didn't turn out like I wanted. But, I am SUPER excited about how her jeans and t-shirt came out!

I covered a few challenges with this card:

Mojo Monday Week 121
Cupcake Craft Challenge ~ Going Girly
2RedBananas ~ Think Round

I colored her with watercolor pencils and chalks using blender pens. I love the rounded look of this card. I used the SU! set Simply Said (thanks Lesley!!!) for the Pixie Pink flower background on the white textured c/s. A strip of Pixie Pink c/s with brown ribbon at the top with a scalloped choc. chip circle. The dp is scrap/stash I had with a circle of pixie pink and a misc. flower and button. I backed the image with choc. chip c/s. Then to give the image an extra little touch I stamped and chalked the tiny flower from Simply said, cut it out and put it on with a mini glue dot.
Thanks so much for visiting. I hope you can come back very soon :)

Until next time...
Blessings...

Hello little Valentine!

Quick post today. Very, very simple 3x3. This card has a real red c/s base with a middle panel from a retired SU! dsp pack. I distressed the edges of the dsp. I stamped the heart from the Out of the Box SU! stamp set in Pretty in Pink ink then cut them out. I popped 2 up on dimensionals. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the sentiment with white craft ink then added some pearls. This is a simple card to mass produce for Valentines. This was made from scrap c/s & paper.
TFL!

Until next time...

Ildi Co. Challenge #7 - Oh Pooh!

This is my card for the Ildi Co. Challenge #7 found on their blog here. We were to use scraps and metal. Every piece of c/s and paper (even the base...ha ha ha) is from my scrap container! For the metal I used 2 brads on the red panels.
I used watercolor pencils, blender pen and Bic Mark It markers to color the image. I couldn't find the right color for Pooh so I had to mix some pencils and then he started peeling up a little. Not my best work but....
Oh and the little accent on the top left corner...that's a piece from the goodies I got from my Crafty Critter Secret Sister....APRIL! Love ya girl ;-)
Thanks for visiting!
Until next time...

Thinking Spring :)

Hi Bloggy Friends! :) I hope you're doing well and having a relaxing day!
All this cold weather here in Bama country is making me long for Spring. Even though my allergies are horrible then, I'm tired of being COLD!
Here's a card for all of you longing for a 70 degree breeze too:

I started with Kraft c/s. Then layered with a piece from a My Mind's Eye paper stack. Orchid Opulence backs the stamped panel. I hand drew the stems. Then used the heart and flower from Out of the Box stamp set. I stamped them in Perfect Plum and Pixie Pink inks. Then cut them out and added thread and buttons. I wrapped a piece of Olive sheer ribbon around the bottom. The punched sentiment is from fundamental phrases (lg. oval punch) and scalloped oval punch behind that. On the sentiment I made some punched holes (with a needle). I don't have the mat pack yet from SU! I think I need to invest in that. I love the look of the needle holes.
I hope you got a little warmer visiting me today :)
Until next time...

A Few more Disney pages

Here are a few more pages from my Disney album.
This first page is from our Safari tour/ride.

I made the title for this double layout from an LOTW swap I hosted last year. Yay me for using some swap stuff!
This next page is of the strange grapevine lady. We were walking along and all of the sudden the big grapevine that was on the pole started moving! Weird!

I made my title with the outline alphabet from SU!
Have a great day/evening and come back soon! :)

Until next time...

Finished Scrappin' Disney

Happy Friday! It is bitter cold here with lots of roads closed b/c of ice and snow. So, yesterday and today (with school being closed, so no work for me) were great crafting days!
I finished my 2007 Disney album yesterday.
Here are 3 pages I worked on.

This is actually the last page of my album but for the life of me I can never remember how to line the pics up to get them uploaded in the order I want them in. I used page candy from a swap I hosted last year.

This is one of my favorite pages I did for this album. It's very simple (who would've thought I would like simple? (giggle)) I cropped this closer on my computer but now it's decided to 'uncrop' itself, sorry it's so far away.

Here's another that doesn't like it's close up. Crud!!! Well, this is a page from the Lion King Production at DW. If you haven't been to that you should go next time you visit. It was Wonderful! It was really dark in the building so my pics didn't turn out good but I just had to include them. I punched lots of circles in Crushed Curry and some pp then inked the c/s and placed them randomly.
Have a great weekend! :)
Keep warm.....brrrrrrr
Until next time...

Crafty Critters Challenge #15

Hello!

This is my card for our blog group's 15th challenge. Terria was our hostess and she challenged us to make a girly card with buttons.
My card is 5 1/2" square. I used papers from a My Minds Eye paper stack. I used a Sugar Nellie image. I colored her with my Bic Mark It markers and SU! chalks.
My inks are Pumpkin pie and Rose red.

I used the SU! stamp set Happy Everything for the sentiment. Then threaded some pumpkin thread/yarn through the buttons.
I hope you enjoy this creation. Have a great, crafty day!
Until next time...

Pop goes the cupcake!

Hello!
I needed to make a birthday card for my MIL. I hardly ever use the color purple and I had a stamp set from about 5 months ago that I never mounted or used. Sooooo, that's how this card was born.

I used orchid opulence as my base. A piece of certainly celery dsp (retired) in the middle.
Stamp sets:
Congrats (retired)
Out of the Box (hostess)
I had never opened Out of the Box. I ran across it this afternoon and knew I had to ink it up. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig for the main image (it's 3 stamps) and the sentiments. I still got 'Congratulations' a little off so I tried to cover it up with a piece of white c/s. I colored the image with my watercolor pencils and blender pen. The cupcakes frosting is dark purple but it looks black in the pic. I think it turned out cute even without embellishments.
Until next time...

I finished an album!!! Woo! Who!

Well hello! Happy January 1st to ya!!! I hope you're having a great year so far...hehehehe :)

I vowed to get some scrapbook pages done today. I followed through and got 3 finished. This also finishes my kiddos 2006 Christmas picture album. Wooooo! Whooooo! It feels like I have been working on this album foreverrrrrrrr.

Now to start my 2008 album. I am a yearly album kindof scrapper. Although I am working on a Disney album right now too. I try to scrap in order. It throws me off if I scrap out of order. I feel I will loose a picture or miss one and find it later, then not have any room in the album for it. I know I overthink this whole scrapping thing don't I? :)

I'm a simple scrapper...I love my pictures to stand out.
The last two pages were designed using the NYD Mini Crop Challenge #3 on SCS. We were challenged to use scraps. Anytime I get a chance to use that accordian folder of 'mess'....excuse me scraps....is a good thing.
Until next time...
Blessings...
